Charles is a 1983 graduate of Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, where he took business and real estate courses.  While attending college he owned and operated a window cleaning business, and had part ownership in an oil operating company.  Following graduation, Charles worked in the irrigation industry, moving to DFW in ’85 to work for a large commercial irrigation company.  In 1987, after obtaining an Irrigator’s license, he started his own irrigation installation and repair company, while also taking coursework in landscape architecture at UTA.  He added commercial irrigation design, residential landscape design and installation, drainage, fencing, and some remodeling/construction to the company’s mix of services.  After several years in the irrigation industry, Charles decided to pursue his dream career in real estate.  “It’s the best job I’ve ever had!”,  he says and he’s committed to doing  “the best job for you”!

Barb, took a more circuitous path to real estate.   A 1979 graduate of Midwestern State University, with an M.A. in Psychology, Barb initially worked in vocational testing and counseling.  She later moved into HR, followed  with several years in sales and marketing for a major Fortune 100 corporation.  In 1991, she left to join Charles in the irrigation industry, where she discovered a talent for landscape design.  She also worked in the kitchen design industry.  Barb currently assists Charles in the office and is working on obtaining her real estate license. 

Charles is also a licensed private pilot, licensed Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic, certified scuba diver, and an occasional sailor.   He also enjoys being a Pit Dad for the CHHS band.  Barb likes reading anything, but especially Michael Crichton novels, and home and garden books.  She also enjoys collecting Longaberger baskets, and watching CSI and Numbers.  And on Friday’s during football season you will often find her working the concessions for the band boosters.  Charles and Barb have five children.   Colin  (Aggie ’05), Channing (UH Cougars ‘11) Cameron (CHHS ’08), Caris, and Chase range in age from 8 to 25. Charles and Barb and family are long-time residents of Grapevine.
